Here comes East-Pécs: Local Action Group for the Children

The aim of the initiative is to provide cultural experiences for disadvantaged children living in the eastern part of Pécs, as well as for the staff of educational and social institutions working with them.
These experiences are intended not only to support personal development but also to help build stronger connections with the children’s parents. Another key objective of the project is to develop the social awareness of high school students in Pécs through artistic and drama pedagogy methods, and to involve them as volunteers in summer camps organized for disadvantaged children.
The project’s main activities include community-building and entertaining theater performances, as well as developmental sessions for disadvantaged children, their teachers, and their parents.
In addition, the project offers social awareness-raising presentations and workshops for high school students. All activities are based on interactive theater tools and drama pedagogy methods.
The collaborations that emerge and strengthen through the project are expected to continue beyond its conclusion, as they serve the real needs of the participants and support the achievement of shared goals.
