Mental Health is a Right for All – But When Did You Last See People with Down Syndrome Dancing at Budapest Park? The idea of inclusion remains unfamiliar, not only to the majority society but often even to caregivers. For many, supporting people with disabilities is still viewed primarily as a charitable matter, whereas what is truly needed is a mindset of equality and accessibility, built on partnership.
This is the philosophy championed by the AppArt Association, which also runs the MáSzínház, celebrating its 20th anniversary with an inclusive party at Budapest Park. Ahead of the event, the association is launching the #jóarcság ("#GoodVibes") campaign: they will train social photographers in ethical photography, pairing them with fundraising ambassadors to create portraits.
The campaign will culminate in the MáSnap all-day event series, where participants can engage in fun challenges and workshops throughout the day. In the late afternoon, a flashmob will bring everyone together to arrive at Budapest Park as one large group of people, united in joy and shared entertainment.
