The initiative focuses on vulnerable and disadvantaged social groups, especially on gender equality, the rights of LGBTQ people and the situation of minority women. Their activities include the consolidation of a stable and sustainable local media democracy through organising local and regional events and developing the KecsUP online news portal. KecsUP Evenings raise awareness about universal human rights and the trends of European public discourse, strengthen the functioning of the news portal and expand its content. In order to increase the cohesion of local civil society the foundation also cooperates with other civic initiatives.
Kecsup.hu aims to become an interactive civil forum serving at least 200,000 citizens in Kecskemét region with online content and live events.
