Media Universalis Foundation
Budapest

The project initiative aims to make freedom of expression, freedom of information and ideas, and freedom of communication available to Roma communities in Hungary through participatory filming.
The joint work will include
- the development and promotion of the methodology of "case video" and
- networking between local NGOs, Roma youth, young filmmakers and university students, representatives of the independent press, and
- higher education courses that aim to teach participatory filmmaking.
Participants will produce content in mobile phone-based case study video workshops and gather in camps to identify core values to be promoted in the Roma communities of North-East and South-West Hungary.
The project include a press campaign to showcase the issues raised and the genre of the case video. The methodology will be disseminated in three municipalities through open training sessions, while the expanding network will provide content to the independent press and further disseminate the format promoting the core values.
